PowerPlay Hockey announces the 2006 Ontario Festival to be held in Toronto, Ontario, at the Lakeshore Lion's Arena from May 5-7, 2006. This venue serves as the practice facility for the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs.
This event is for Minor Bantam through to Midget Major AAA level players. Top Tier II players may also be considered. There will be both a Bantam and a Midget Division. Each team will play 3 games with a Championship Day on the Sunday.
A component of our event is a symposium which will be held tentatively at the Hockey Hall of Fame. There will be guest speakers including coaches from the NCAA Division 1 level, OHL as well as Junior "A". Director of NHL Central Scouting, Mr. E.J. McGuire has also confirmed for this event. At the conclusion, there will be a question and answer period.
Registrations will be accepted on an individual basis and players will be drafted onto teams by coaches. All coaches for our event are AAA level coaches with many years of experience and many championships.
Our event is about development. We plan on making this a premiere event and invite all enquiries.
