For anyone who has experienced the "pleasure" of participating in a Sports Weekend tournament in Cleveland, watch out for the "new" Hockey Hangout outfit. My son's pre-post midget team played this weekend in Cleveland (fortunately for us, it was a home tourney), and it was one disaster after another. Matt Rice, who was the head of SWE, is still in operation under the HH alias. Apparently he was able to dodge his creditors by changing names, but everything else was the same old, same old. All games at the Arctic Freeze (a dump in the truest sense of the word), five complete schedule revisions since Monday, "scab" refs from Detroit/Windsor working 8 to 10 games each day (he owes Cleve. area refs approx. six grand, they won't touch his games), doors opening at 7:30 AM for 8:00 AM games, refs for those same games walking in at 8:00 AM so they're behind schedule immediately, Zamboni breakdowns, special "tournament prices" at the snack bar, etc., etc., etc.
I truly feel sorry for the teams that traveled from Buffalo, Rochester, Pittsburgh, and wherever else just for a chance to participate in this mess. I'm sure they won't be back, to all others: BE FOREWARNED!

Well they did change from "Sports Weekend" to "Hockey Hangout" via the website is still sportsweekend.com.

If in fact they did this like you say I cant imagine it would go on very long. Nobody will put up with it.....
