The NKy U16 AAA fared well in their first AAA action, going 2-1-1 overall and narrowly missed moving on to the quarterfinal round. In their first game they lost 6-3 to the Columbus Jr Blue Jackets - a game that was tied 3-3 well into the 3rd when Colombus took control. They bounced back to beat the Toledo Jr Storm 6-1 and tie the Ellenton Eels 4-4. In their consolation game they beat the Pittsburgh Jr Pens 5-2.
