Is there anything wrong with wearing the "birdcage" helmet as a goaltender like Hasek? I like in in dek hockey because Ihav more periferal vision.

I'm talking about wearing the birdcage helmet for ice hockey though.

The only problem with the birdcage style helmet is finding one at a pro shop. I understand that the pros using them typically have to order them from Europe.

And of course make sure you have a throat protector that integrates with it correctly.

Been there, done that. Went somewhere else and did it again.

So you want a Hasek, eh? Why not go to the folks that make it for him? Seriously, check out Warwick Mask Co., just sit down before you look at the price.

I stand corrected. I know Hasek and many other European goalies use that style. Nice to know that there is now a North American source.

Thanks!

Warwick masks are well worth the price if you play a lot at an advanced level. We were lucky enough to purchase a used Warwick and then sent it to the factory to be refurbished. It's worked out great and the staff at Warwick are AWESOME about customer service and quality control.
