The CSHL has a maximum drive time of 2 hours while a 2 hour drive for the BTHL is on the low side. Think of the extremes such as Sylvania to Evansville (8 hours), Fort Wayne to Charleston (6 hours), Athens to Bloomington (5 hours), etc.

The fact is that the BTHL is not the CSHL. We don't have as many teams and we cover a geographic area which is 10 times the size. We need to split geographically if possible and we hope to do so at the A and A1 levels. A good "AA" team may be willing to drive 8 hours to play another elite team but does an "A" or "A1" team need to go that far to find someone at their level?

If we are basing things on geography, there's no need for the "pre-seed" tournament. Put "pin's" on a map and draw up the division accordingly.

I think what the BTHL is trying to do would be difficult to say the least. I am sure it is a learning process for all involved. I am glad they took the first step, and went to a pre-seed tournament. Wish they would have went last year. LOL.

How about for the Midgets? Will that be in Cincinnati as well? Are we looking at games on Saturday, Sunday, or both?

Yes, there is a Midget preseason seeding tournament, just curious if you had any details since info is still not posted.

why would you have a pre-seed tournament with only (5)AA teams and (4)A teams?
