So we can assume zamboni does not care for the pre=seed tournament? What if a AA team was actually just a very good A team, and one of those A teams turned out to be competitive at the AA level? I think they are trying to
Pre seed tourneys are good, coaches like them to see what they have and the kids get to play more games. But most importantly it gives folks a chance to complain about things earlier.
The BTHL is awesome for what it is, a come one come all entity that accepts single teams, entire organizations, all age groups and does the absolute best they can to evolve with the shifts and currents of youth hockey in the midwest/midsouth areas.
Good job BTHL, keep it up.

Ok, we're just over a week away from dropping the puck. Anyone have any specifics about player movements? I've noticed a couple of names on different teams already this year. Do most of your guys teams feature the same group of players from last years squads? Any new faces to the Buckeye Bantams? We have one returning player on our team that has been away for two years.

Zamboni. Which part of seeding do you not understand? It's DIFFERENT than declaring a division.
If there are five teams that declare AA and Four teams that declare A WE don't assume anymore that they are (A) telling the truth (B) know what they are doing
Are you one of those teams that only had one loss or no losses last year and really enjoyed it?

To answer your question(which part of seeding do you not understand?) The BTHL meeting where the "pre-seed" tournament was approved(I was there) They didn't discuss much of fine details of how the tournament would be run. How many times in the past has a team who intentionally registered to be a "AA" team, not know what they were doing? There were times where the placement chart shoved a team into "AA" that wasn't ready, but the chart forced them there. With that said, this year the chart is gone, right, ok, you have many teams intentionally signing up to be a "AA" team, I doubt that the coaches are stupid, I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing. So, why do we have them participate in the seeding tournament? We should have all the "A" and "A1" teams play, and it should be fairly easy to figure out who the powerhouse "A" teams are, put them in the "AA" bracket, you should be able to figure out who the really weak teams are, put them in the "A1" bracket. Without the "AA" team playing, it free's up ice time..... Now do you understand?
