If the 94 Major CSDHL team (Miller) is #1, the 95 Minor CSDHL team (Doyon) is #2, the gold (Frazer) team is #3 and the silver (Kremer) team is #4.

the buckeye grid says a large associations 4th team can have only 8 second years to play A...Kremer is all second years, so looks like they would be AA if they choose to play BTHL.

with Hockey Coaches posting about Columbus, Indiana that would be the 4th AA team at pee wee and a division can be formed!

then maybe Gilmour is a 5th and possibly Ft Wayne a 6th?

What is the final analysis since tryouts are just about finished with who stays in the bthl for AA? Any other teams going independent since this thread started?

Based on what we have heard, confirmed for Pee Wee AA in the BTHL will be:

1) Cincy - Mo Patterson team

2) Indy Gold - Frazer team

3) Indy Silver - Kremer team (will be forced by the grid to play AA)

4) Columbus, OH BlueJackets - Dygert team

then possibly:

1) a Ft. Wayne team per Len's note that they intend to enter teams

2) Columbus, IN per the thread from one of their members that they are considering this level even though they are primarily '95s.

So looks like 4 for sure and maybe a 5th or 6th team...

Right now it seems like only 2 teams are for sure and then a bunch of question marks:

In:

Cincy - Mo Patterson team
Indy - Troy Frazer Team

???

Dayton - is this team going independent? are there enough players for a 2nd AA team that competes in BTHL?

Findlay - will team composition and parent\coach\player preference be to play A or AA?

Louisville - similar to Findlay, will grid force them in AA? will coaches want to play at this level? enough talent?

Columbus, OH - will a Columbus team compete in BTHL or are all AA and below going to Cleveland and Little Caesers?

No. KY - website doesnt say what level, enough 2nd years and talent to play at AA??

Ft. Wayne - cant find anything on this program for coming year..

Gilmour - BTHL site lists as a prospective teama & association, anyone with info on this program, team or acceptance into the league?

Evansville - two years ago their 94s\95s played AA, will they do this again or given the grid will they take their option to play A?

any readers, posters or others with knowledge please speak up - if the BYHL Pee Wee AA level isnt going to have enough participation we would like to know sooner rather than later so other alternatives could be explored before its too late and doors are closed!

Dayton AA is going independant.

My guess is Findlay will go A: in 04-05 when the 94/95 played AA the record in league was 2-14-0 with 28 goals for and 89 against

Same with Evansville: in 04-05 the 94/95 played AA and was 0-15-1 with 19 goals for and 121 against. So they will probably go A

Ft. Wayne Pee Wee AA only had 4 first year 94 player on it for the 05-06 season so they will probably chose to play A instead of AA this year.

NKY only had 4 first year kids on the Pee Wee AA team so I think they will go A also next year. Also they only had 4 second year players on the Squirt A team that have to move up so I dont think the numbers are there for AA.

All of these are OPINIONS and not fact. Who knows who moved into the area or played at a house league or another org. that will effect the level of play and numbers.[/QUOTE]

Wingsrule - Is the Dayton Pee Wee AA team still going independent? They show up on the Buckeye site as still 'tentatitve'. Right now only 5 teams appear to be committed with two confirmed:

Indianapolis Racers 'Silver'
Columbus Blue Jackets
Cincy Cyclones - Patterson
Ft Wayne Komets - not having a Pee Wee AA team in Little Ceasars this year?
Louisville Stallions - Buckeye site says 'Storm' but I think the AA team is coming from a different Louisville Youth Hockey organization.

Wingsrule: What is the rationale for Dayton to "play Buckeye if it was only 4 teams, they now will play independent"? Is it that more than 4 teams would mean that Dayton would have less flexibility to schedule other teams outside Buckeye? Is it that parents want less travel and woul dhave too many weekends filled? I am not trying to start something, just trying to understand how teams make decisions. Especially AA teams in Buckeye that are leaving more and more of this league to be an A/B league rather than AA. Thanks.
