Until BHTL does something about size of association they will be hurting themselves for years to come. I know of many assications that are looking at going independed.

BTHL says a Medium Assc. is 200-400 and will field 2 teams at each travel division most times. Lets look at last years Med. Assc. Bloomingtom, Evansville, Louisville, Columbus, IN, Butler County I think these all fit here not for sure. How many of these had two team in more then two divisions. I think the answer is NONE. So now the division that only have one team and get 15-18 kids to try-out have to go AA even when BHTL own rules say they can ask to play down they will not let you. Most time at least 8-10 of them are second year and lots of time have never played travel.

IMHO BTHL is setup all for the large assoc. to be able to move kids and play were they want to. They then make it impossiable for Medium to play were the should.

Now for the bad news if you don't like it but don't want to go indepentant then bend over because they had you right were they want you.

At some point I hope someone will start a new league and get back to having two like we did when GCYHL was here.

Len,

The answer is zero! MAHA rules are hard and steadfast. Only birth year guidelines, I personally feel that the Buckeye league has the best answer, and tends to prove itself out each year. BTHL keep up the good work.
