Doubt they will get special permission, heard nothing from the annual meeting that would change the grid...question is if the Indy silver team will play in the BTHL...if they do they would have to be AA level, from what I hear they definitely have the talent and even if they would be allowed to play A, too many of their 2nd year kids would be playing below the levels they have played in the past...
real question is whether a 4 team league (cincy, columbus and two indy) is attractive enough, or if such a small league will spur columbus to consider moving north in the cleveland suburban league, and then that leaves just 3...ouch!
There are almost a dozen A teams, and the best of the A's are a lot better than the weeker of the A's. BTHL should group strongest together, and weeker together. Who cares how many A's are behind your name. Everyone wants to play the teams that will be most challenging. No fun to go in knowing your kids could win by 10.

Reality is that Columbus CCYHA left last year and most Capitals teams have always been in Cleveland. A couple of teams opt to play BTHL but the rest are in Cleveland. Between the Capitals and CCYHA, there are 8 AA/A peewee teams in Central Ohio plus 2 AAA teams. (Could start a separate thread on that!!) Of the 8 teams one is playing in peewee AA--the CCYHA 94 AA team. They are the only team from CCYHA in the BTHL. The Capitals are projected to put 3 teams in--1 at mite and 2 in midget where the CSHL does not have a division.

This won't happen!!! Look at the 22 page thread "pre-season Squirt AA predictions". This was hased over two years ago and it did not change. The close travel time (what ever the scores)won out over the close game(what ever the drive). Then all of the predictions that more and more teams would leave the Buckeye have and are continuing to come true.

I wasn't familiar with Squirt situation last year, my son was a Pee Wee. He "enjoyed" a 4-20-2 (or something like that) season in the BTHL on an A team playing teams that could give most AA teams a good run. Did he develop as a player because of it? Boy did he ever. He developed more last season than the previous 2 years combined when he was on winning teams. But it could have gone the other way. If the coaches had gotten down on the team, gotten negative, and taken the focus off of fun and improvement, it could have been miserable. But it was a good year.
I guess my previous statement was made in haste. There is never a "bad" game to play. Only bad attitudes toward unmatched teams. If you "should" win by 10, prepare your team around that fact and develop the team with that in mind. If you "should" loose by 10, prepare those players accordingly. No game is a "waste" of time. Something can be learned from every game situation. I recant my earlier remark about it not being fun knowing your kids can win by 10. It's fun, it's just not as good for their developement.
Why did the one Columbus '94 Pee Wee team choose to go to the Buckeye when every other Pee Wee team is playing elsewhere?
Can you shed some light on the decision making process? How\what do you think BTHL should do to get other Columbus teams to consider playing in BTHL...or is it a lost cause?
Is it for sure this one '94 team will play AA? Even if there are only 3 other teams and two of those are in Indy (long commute)?
It looks like based on recent updates in the BTHL website that Indy Racers are putting their PeeWee silver team in the BTHL as AA instead of the Gold team. Their PW 94 Major's are still in the CSDHL. Does anyone know where the Indy Racers Gold PW team will play?
