New Rankings, A flaw that I have noticed for rankings concerning Ohio. Cleveland Suburban hockey appears to be in their own bubble. North Olmsted AA (302), though probably a fine team, is ranked 4th in Ohio, ahead of Teams like Ohio 94 AAA Blue Jackets, and Cincinnati Cyclones 94 AAA, and Cleveland Phantoms AAA 94. In fact, there are other Cleveland Suburban teams ranking in front of these AAA as well. North Olmstead has not played a single game outside their organization, and only one team they played has played a team outside their organization. If I understand correctly, things are done differently there, and there is a preseason ranking system used to divide up their teams for regular season play so maybe this is a temporary situation. I'm not a math genius, but if there is no crossover in the leagues, there is a definate problem with these rankings. Comon' Cleveland teams, there is a whole other state out there. Get out of your bubble and play someone else. And I mean that in the nicest way.

You have to give this a few more weeks to play out. As you can see in 2005-2006 the CSHL had a leauge rating of 6.75, the EEAHL(AAA) had a 9.67, and the MWEHL(AAA) was 13.99 so after the goal diferental of +4 for NO and + 2.5 for Geauga come down they will drop to 10-15 where they belong.

94s: Barons AAA 14.16 Indy Racers AA 13.41 No. Olmstead 10.15 Ohio AAA BJs 9.86 Toledo Cherokees 9.56 Geauga 9.37 Shaker 9.03 Parma 8.85 Cyclones AAA 8.81 Cleve Phantoms 8.63 Strongsville 8.30 Cols. Capitals 7.95 Cols. BJs AA BTHL 5.09 95s: Ohio AAA BJs 11.45 Barons AAA 10.68 Gilmour 7.78 Cyclones AAA 7.70 Toledo Icediggers 5.95 Indy Racers 5.37 With a limited number of games (minimum of 5) input and used to calculate the rankings, these aren't too far off. I am just not sure you can mix the 94s and 95s because of the limited number of crossover games. Also, the CSHL teams particularly in the 94s will drift lower as their strength of schedule drops as the season goes on and as more teams are added. Then you will see a pretty good ranking -- I'd say give it a few more weeks and they will be extremely close.
