Yes you can go wrong with birth year we are a medium Assc. by Buckeye and do not have enough players in an age group to form a 2nd or 1st year team only. That is the problem I feels is with the chart there is no looking at division sizes and a large city can break travel programs out of the house program and play by the same rules as us. The travel Only programs still have the best players trying out and could have over a 100 kids show up for the first team try-outs. They then play by the same rules as a team that only has 17 kids show up for tryouts. But the house programs is part of the same assc. and therfor the total is more the 250 players.

Then the heck with association size. The numbers need to be based on the size of the metropolitan area. This may help stop all these rogue Associations from breaking away because they think they have a better way or more likely so little Junior can make the team because Daddy started an Association. If an area does not have the numbers to Play AA then they play A. And nothing should be black and white. If a team needs an exception at a level they should get one.

Could not agree with you more. Look at the number of travel players for the metropolitan area. Not the asscociation size

Or look at the number that play travel in each area we had 86 players play travel total last year. out of 375 in the association. So 77% of what makes us Medium playes house hockey.

When High Schools are placed in divisions do they count the number of atheletes or the number of students? It's the same thing. In both cases teams are formed from a pool of potential players. We are sizing associations based on the size of the "pool".

Yes I know what you are doing. I don't understand it is my point we are not talking about 16-18 year old kids at the mite to Pee Wee level. Let look at facts not hopes. Going to the BCS like web page a Indy Squirt person did last year it is loacted here. http://www.ijiha.org/MYHockey/view_rankings.php

The ranking of BHTL teams that were AA start at #47 Columbus Card AA1 to #167 Columbus Cards AA2 that is 120 rank differents in your AA division. In A it went from #127 Ciny to #179 Findley a 52 rank differents. Now in that 52 differents for the A group of BTHL team you also have these Medium Association that were made to play AA by BHTL. Indy Racers #129, Sylvania #130 Louisville # 133.

Now how could have allowing these three teams to play down last year to A level made the AA division not as good or made the A division less then what it was.

This is the point I try to make most of these association field only one full travel team could not go birth year due to not enough kids but in BHTL they have no choice it is black and white they have to go AA because I know one of these team Louisville had 11 2nd year players on it.

For the record I think Louisville played right were they needed to for the kids development in the AA level last year. Since out of the 15 players 13 had travel experence before last year. Now next year only 4 of this kids return and the rest of the team will be made of non-travel kids but most again will be second year players because here it is at this time kids go to travel hockey we do not have Mite Travel.

Now fair I don't think so. I think that yes many coaches have tried to sandbag when BHTL sees this then place that coaches team were you feel they should be. Have a begaining of year tournament for placement there are many other things that just don't seem to be looked at.
