Louisville Storm Suspended

Let's see the team gets suspended for a year due to conduct unbecoming by the coach and players on the team. We have 2 posts by players from that team that support the coach. Could these players also be the ones that helped cause the suspension. I was at that game in Cincinnati that resulted in the team's suspesnion. It was ugly. Cincinnati was ahead by several goals late in the game. The Louisville team started taking cheap shots (yes, I beleive that blows to the head and cross check during a face-off are cheap shots; the refs agredd and called penalties on these hits). After the game a player from the Louisville team challenged a ref to a figt and the coach was shouting obsenities at the refs. That is not my idea of 'real hockey' if that is what the coach was teaching the team.

Two additional points that should be made. The decision to forfiet that team's remaining games last year was made by the teams association - not the BTHL. So actually, sal30 is correct, the LYHA should not be criticized. They did the right thing.

Seocnd, regarding that wining record the team had last year. The BTHL website shows that they were undefeated at home (one tie) but had a significant losing record on the road. Could the winning record have resilted from the opposition being homered in Louisville?

sandy sure the stallions have a great and healthy program and you would say that because you just dont know. but before you start talking about the lyha look yourself in the mirror and see how good the stallions are treating you and see what good ole mr richardson is doing with your money. and the storm did not get suspened for a year the team dropped out because they wanted to be a tournament team. and yeah lville the storm coach is so bad uh. well hes not the one buying alchol for kids on the team that are 15 and 16 years old on a hockey tournament. I guess your right though the storm coach is the bad guy. you all just dont understand. and lville one more thing your ignorant not the coach of the storm you probably know nothing about him so you have NO need talking **** about him online. but you all think your so big and bad to say this on a website how bout to say this to the lyha or say it to someone, not post your ideas or your bull**** online

I have watched the Louisville team and my son has skated for Joe. They play hard and at that age most ganes are chippy if the refs do not get control of the games. I have seen them play both ways fair and cheap. As far as Joe goes my son loves Joe, he has helped my son improve his skills so...

So I too was a Player on the Louisville Storm team. I served as team captain under Joe Liquori for three years. His passion for the game and willingness to bend over backwards for the guys on our team in order for them to get better and move on to the next level is beyond any of you guys that didn't play for him know. Matsen18 and sal30 were my team mates and they are correct. I bet you guys talking bad about him are jsut mad because your son got cut by him, or you simply just play at iceland, and everyone over there just judges him based on his methods of coaching. Everyone over there is blinded by jealously becuase they will never be taught hockey skill or talent like me, or any of my team mates have. Last time i checked, you fools at Iceland play for real criminals. The owners of the rink going bankrrupt, so they pocket your hard earned money so they can surrvive. Also, last time I checked no one from any team or orginization has gone anyware to play on higher levels.

Yes Joe was a gift to Louisville Hockey, so you all can keep judging. Sure, his temper gets the best of him sometimes, but a good coach will do anything to win, and see that his players are getting better each time the step on the ice. Keep playing in your pretend hockey leagues,(BTHL), keep beting teams who can't keep having your coaches being your daddys who baby you, and tell you your good, when the reality is your are dog sh**. See how far you go.

I served as a player on the storm last year, and it is disappointing to see people sink this low to write about people who they don't even know. The Coach for the Louisville Storm is a little rough around the edges but he was by far the best coach I have ever had. As you can see he has developed all his players and some of them have moved on to higher levels. Also, the accusation of being homered is so far from the truth. The BTHL was a fighting league with very little talent or real hockey, hence the reason that we dropped from it. I believe that the nothing should be taken away from the Louisville storm by accusing them of being homered. The Storm has consistently been a pretty good team, its ironic that the people criticizing the team and coach are parents. Clearly you are misinformed, and you really shouldn't try to take anything away from a successful coach or a successful team when you don't have anything to show for it. Pointing fingers and saying, oh that team was a bunch of thugs and saying the coach was a bad person is childish. I completely support the coach of the Louisville Storm and the rest of my teammates, what they say is true.

Well I'm going to add my knowledge of this situation as a player on this team for the past 4 years as a goalie. Everybody has always disliked Joe for this reason or that reason. We all have our down falls for instance a Iceland parent coming to our bench and starting a fight with Joe. Why don't you hear talk about that side of the story. That its not always Joe or our team. Alot of teams are jelous of what we have accomplished. So what we got in fights thats hockey. Get over it. And Joe as a coach was the best thing that happened to me as a player. His love for the game and knowledge of the game and his accomplishments at the game are by far any higher than anyone around here. And thats why all of use kids that couldn't make icelands oh so good travel teams have more of a competiative team and playing higher level teams than them. So look at the facts not ur opinion. And you will see the truth

I love you Joe
