Ok, who is the brainiac who put together this schedule???
Having the final game at 7:30pm on a Monday night, knowing that one team already with a spot in the finals is the Cleveland pre/post team??? 3 of the 4 teams in the full season playoffs, if they earned a spot in the finals, would likely have to take off early from school to get to the game in sufficient time to be ready. Then not arrive back home until close to midnight on school night.
EDIT: I failed to realize that the Ohio Graduation Tests start on that Monday and go all week.
Bunch of hypocrites in Midam who want to preach importance of education but insist on keeping this schedule...
Even more bizarre is if the Barons won the full season portion, you'd have two Cleveland area teams having to travel to Columbus for the game...
Oh, and a more cynical person than I might see something fishy with the "blind draw" results - the host Columbus team has ideal time slots - 3pm, 2pm, and 3:10pm - while the others are all over the board...The Barons have 5pm Fri, 8am Sat and then 3:10pm Sunday. If they make it to the finals, that likely means 3 round trips (unless you want to all day Sat and part of Sunday hanging around the hotel).
Why not have one set of games on Sat morn, second set of games later Sat evening, then finals on Sunday?
and clearly see why your schedule is so spread out between learn to skate, public skate, and blue jackets practices, your tournament comes in well behind in importance.

that's part of my frustration with Midam...never should have allowed one site to have that many age groups if they couldn't accomondate all the games in 3 days (Fri-Sun).
Talked with some of the tourney folks this weekend and it sounds like they tried to get it all done within the weekend, but too may issues with Ohio High school association (HS semis & finals on sat/sun too). Hopefully they can address this better in the future tho.
As far as the championship game, it was played at Barons arena with the Barons (full season winner) beating CTDP (pre/post winner) 4-2 to advance to MidAm districts next week. Wasn't at the game, so outside of getting periodic score updates, don't know any real details yet.
