Hello,

My name is Maree and I am moving with my family to KY to work in Pembroke. We are a hockey family from Australia and my children play on the Australian travel, state and rep teams here. I have a 9 year old player (10 in Jan) and an 11 year old (12 in Mar) goalie. They are committed to finish the hockey season in Australia but will be moving to KY or TN during August.

Can anyone please tell me generally the costs associated with registration for the leagues, what age group they would be (in Australia they are Atoms and play up a year level in the Pee wees and my daughter plays women's too) and also would it be too late for them to join a team at the end of August. I will be there in July so I could register them.

Thank you and I am happy to receive any advice that you may have as our only concern is that the kids can not play hockey if we live in Pembroke area - so if you have any idea of good cities that are an easy commute to rinks and work, I would be most grateful. I am feeling very lost at the m,moment and hockey means more to us than anything. My husband is also wantingto find a senior league - he has played for 35 years and played at St Cloud State university in MN years ago.

Thank you and kind regards,

Maree Okabe

In Pembroke you'll be @ 1 hr from Nashville, so I suspect that the Nashville metro area is going to be best place to start.
