We are moving from Michigan to Troy, Ohio in June. Our son is a goalie on a Pee Wee A team in Michigan. Can someone give us any suggestions about where to go for next season (07-08)? Is there a need for a goalie? We know that it is hard for goalie to break into a team. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, Troy has a Peewee team but this year it is competing at a B level.
Will your son be a Peewee next year or will he be moving up to Bantam. If he will still be a Peewee, I might suggest looking for a higher level team nearby.
The league that encompasses most of the area you are interested in is the Buckeye League.
Click on the Standings on the left hand menu bar and it will take you to current teams' standings. You can click the various teams to see rosters (and even birth years IIRC) of the various teams.
If level of play is important, you may have to drive a bit to find suitable hockey. Been there and done that myself. You might want to consider you home shopping accordingly, as you could put yourself closer to more teams. As earlier mentioned, Dayton has teams to be considered.
Good luck.

Where is the best place to look to find out when organizations will be holding their try-outs for the 2007-2008 hockey season? Is there one website that they post all try-outs or do we contact the individual teams?

I believe if you look carefully, there should be team and organization contact information on the Buckeye site. I'd start by calling coaches after this season is done. I wouldn't depend on websites to be updated in a timely manner as many teams in this region of the country are small and everyone knows everyone (except newcomers like you).
I've moved twice since my D started playing and in each case, I made sure to talk to people well in advance of the tryout season.
You might also find out what kind of off-season opportunities exist in the region through these coaches as well. A good opportunity for your son to get to know a few of the players before the tryout.
