The Tourney in Ft Wayne is "A" Silver sticks. Anyone have info on the other teams I mentioned - USA Eagles - Irish Rovers (2 different teams)?

Hey Red Wings Guy, Was that the Tampa Raiders? In other posts, you've mentioned that you drove many miles for your Daughter to play hockey, Did she play in Nashville and skate out as a forward?

I think it was the Raiders IIRC. I remember it being a very good team as well. On the boys side (where she played SS) she goaltended for Columbus IN as she kinda got knocked off the Nashville AA Bantam Minor (Southern Flyers) and then the A team (Wild)(combinded with Knoxville kids) because she was playing Girls AAA for post season purposes (as a goalie and forward) out of Indy. None of the coaches wanted to touch a goalie who couldn't play with them when they got eliminated in the affiliate post season tourneys. Not that she would have carried them anyways. It is a team sport. 2 years ago, she did skate as a forward part time for a 19U girls Nashville team that played in a girls developmental league in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, if that is waht you were referring to. Columbus was even more miles than playing for Nashville, but it was nice playing for a team that appreciated having her. Great bunch of people. Didn't get to thank them enough.
Been there, done that. Went somewhere else and did it again.

The USA Eagles are not playing in Fort Wayne, they dropped out, Shaker Hills Raiders 95 A? have taken their place. South Bend Rovers 94 A are playing in the Elite AA division of the Chicago NIHL league, South Bend Rovers 95 A also plays in NIHL in the Silver Division. The team to worry most about is the CYHO Fisherman, from what i have heard its a Christian 'Tournament' team that pulls in kids from all over the Cleveland area to play on their team for tournaments. I heard they have a couple AAA players and one kid that is so good he plays up as a AA Bantam on another team. quote: Originally posted by smallcitydad: quote: Sylvania is not playing down. I understand what you are saying to a extent. Some teams will do this every year. But it sounds as if there is some sour grapes from whoever gets there butts handed to them. I keep hearing Sylvania Pee Wee team was playing down in Fort Wayne and that is not true. They are a 3rd picked team. They play in L.C.A.H.L. AA bracket because they HAVE to. They are 2-7 and have only beat the 2 teams that are lower then them. They ARE a "B" team they have every right to play where they did. Sylvania has a pee wee team playying in Dayton so why cannot the "B" team play in the "B" divison??? Should the "B" team play in Dayton against the Sylvania team that was picked ahead of these kids and that were told that they could not play on that team? Hell no.. My wife even got jumped from some Fort Wayne Select wackey lady that accused my sons team of playing down.. And yes they are a "B" team also. They were the 3rd team and only had 1 cut because the BTHL will only allow us to have 8 92's.. We only one 1 game. So just because they beat FWS 11-0 doesnt mean that we were playing down either.
